How to get here?

  • By Air
    • From Jakarta, Bali, or Surabaya There are numerous direct flights from major Indonesian cities to Kalimantan. Airlines such as Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Citilink, and AirAsia operate regular flights to these airports.
    • From International Destinations
If you’re traveling from abroad, you’ll most likely need to connect via Jakarta, Singapore, or Kuala Lumpur. From there, you can take a domestic flight to one of Kalimantan’s airports.
  • By Sea
    • Pelni Ferries: The state-owned Pelni Ferries operate routes connecting Java, Sulawesi, and other parts of Indonesia to Kalimantan. The main ports are located in cities like Banjarmasin, Pontianak, and Balikpapan. While this option takes longer compared to flying, it offers a more scenic and memorable experience.
  • By Land and River
    • Land Crossings: There are border crossings between Malaysian Borneo (Sarawak) and West Kalimantan, such as the Tebedu-Entikong crossing. From these points, you can take local buses or taxis to continue your journey within Kalimantan.
    • River Routes: Some travelers opt for river routes from Sarawak into West Kalimantan, although this is more for those seeking a unique adventure rather than the fastest route.
